I downloaded the jar file off of the website, and everything seemed to be going well. When I selected FTB Ultimate, then clicked launch, the game started up, but presented me with this log

There are a few warnings and errors, but I'm not sure what they mean. The game brought me to the minecraft log-in screen, and when I tried to select single player, it presented me with this log:

(this is added onto the old log). I tried changing up the max RAM in the options tab in the FTB launcher, but the same problem arises. Any ideas? Everything I've looked for online just tells me to mess with the RAM bar in the launcher.
I am running Mac 10.6.8 (snow leopard)
When I try to create a single player game, the window gets stuck on "Loading World", "Converting world."
When I try to join my friend's server, i get stuck at "logging in" then my screen goes to black and stays there.
