Problem with /spawnforest command

Hi there folks !
Im not quite sure if im in the right forum section, but there is no particullar "help" or "question" section. :(

Im playing on my server with the Direwolf 20 modpack.
I've read me through the /help pages and on page 7 i found a command that i wantet to try
/spawnforest
or
/spawntree

I've tried about a hour to get these commands working and im about to explode cause this is not working.
It tells /spawnforest <Player-Name> <Species-Name>

Please someone help me to get this working >.<

/help spawntree
usage: /spawntree player-name species-name
/help spawnforest
usage: /spawnforest player-name species-name

Looks like forestry commands to skip tree breeding. Might need to be in creative mode, single player cheat mode, or OP on server, etc.
 
okay , but can you give me an example ... like how does i type my tree in that i want, like
/spawnforest player Birchtree
or what ? cause thats what i was doing the hole time .. and im op an in creative mode on my server
 
I cant find anything in google on this. :(
I really need help. Since the World Edit does not work with Feed the Beast , this command could save me hours :(
 
Tree breeding is only a few weeks old, so maybe the commands aren't working. There was a tree breeding thread on these forums a few pages back that might have more knowledgeable tree breeders watching it.

What are you looking to do with the forestry trees? I think their wood is all in NEI. There are also a lot of saplings in NEI if you just want some tree variety.
 
i wanted to make a nice forest near my home base . and i dont want to walk an plant saplings all the way ... :(
 
I could be wrong but i think either command would just give you a sapling or a stack of saplings. Not auto plant a forest for you.

The IC2 Terraformer might have a mode to add trees to an area. I know it has a mode that makes them grow quickly.
 
but when its command said .... "spawnforest" .... it should literally spawn you a forest. Or i would call the command "spawnsapling" . Or am i mistaken ?
I will try out the IC2 Terraformer quite away. But i am disappointed of /spawnforest :(
Kinda hoped of a nice mazy forest thing :(
