Problem with Minecraft - dont know whats going on

Hy folks,

could anyone please help me or give me an idea at least please.
Since a week now when my wife and me try to play FTB (we play FTB Unleashed 1.5.2)
We get an IO exception in the console upon trying to login.
When i go to http://minecraft-techworld.com/status then to check the servers it keeps showing login server down.

Are the Minecraft servers dead for such a long time or is there any other problem ?
I have a program to play Offline (Multiminecraft or what its called) but would prefer to play "normal"

Thanks for reading and any help you can provide.

i had this problem also. i went into server properties and turned online mode off. Now me and my sons don't get that error anymore.

It is either about the server being down due to something or them not being able to log in.
A server log would help though, though I don't know how to get that easily.

There aint much to show i get the messages in the console as you can see below then a seperate window pops up with the IO Exception i press ok, then another window comes up asking if i wanna play offline which doesnt work when i press yes.
Having this situation since about a 5 days now.

Realsketch damn so Minecraft Login server is down for nearly a full week now ?
So only Multiminecraft playing offline then it looks like for me :-(

Let me apologize now if I'm way off track, I'm feeling awful today, but the MC login server is fine. I just got onto my account without any issues.

Actually, the Minecraft login servers are perfectly fine. Your problem is probably with your firewall.

Then the search for the problem might get interesting for me as i didnt change anything on my 2 laptops since i last played.
Same Anti-Virus Software, no changes in Firewall - none, nada. dammit :-([DOUBLEPOST=1398292046][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh and could you recommend me a good website to check for server status please, this one keeps showing login server offline

To be honest Realsketch i am not sure what you mean 100% now but my situation is as following:

I am a private person sitting at home in the living room with my wife and 2 laptops.
We downloaded FTB and play FTB Unleashed 1.5.2 actually.

Never had Problems in the last months but since this last weekend when we try to start FTB via the launcher we get the messages i posted above.
I am good enough to add some more mods into Unleashed but i have no idea how the login works, so far i thought we login on the official minecraft/mojang servers where the website i linked above says they are offline, people say they are online and i have no idea what to do now :p

Have you tried deleting your profiles in the launcher and recreating them? Possible data corruption might be the cause. Then again mayhaps not. Just trying to cover all bases.

Didnt try that so far, sounds like a good idea will give it a shot. Just tried to complete deactivate my windows firewall still got the problem, so firewall can be excluded as "troublemaker".
Will let u know if the profil thingy worked.

If your still having issues delete and reinstall ftb. I had the exact same issue, but deleting and reinstalling was painlessly simple. All I had to delete was the launcher, no packs or anything.
