Problem with adding DartCraft 1.4.7

I have tried downloading dartcraft and adding it to my Ultimate Pack but when I launch the Ultimate Pack my minecraft crashes. I theorized that it could be due to the fact that it is a .jar file and probably not intended to be added into a mod pack. I read on the same forum page to download it and put it into the /mods folder and I try doing that for my Ultimate Pack by going into the .minecraft folder and then into the mods folder like it says but that didn't work. I also tried adding the mod by pressing the Edit Mod Pack button on the pack in the launcher into the Jar Mods division and the Mods division. Any technical support would be great if possible. If nothing works I'm fine with waiting for the launcher to updated but thanks in advance for your suggestions.
