I don't know if this is the right place for this threat, if I not tell me and I'll move it or something.

The other day I started playing the modpack Running Red, everything was ok untill I close minecraft, when I come back and tried to load the world a message appear: "Minecraft has run out of memory...", I know this is a common problem, and has an easy solution is to give it more ram but, I have a 32 bit preocessor, so I have to use the 32 bits window's version, therefore I can't give it more ram.

Any solution?

Update OS... 32bit OS really isn't good enough for modded Minecraft, sorry :/

I believe there are workarounds, but I don't know them, and wouldn't trust them 100% because they are bypassing the limitations of your OS

On a 32-bit computer updating the OS to 64-bit isn't going to work. I'm afraid there is not much to do here. Time for a new computer.

Ok thank you for the answers, I guess I must forget about playing this modpack for a while.

Do you know any other modpack of the same style (with the Hardcore quest mod) that I would be able to play?

Pffft... I don't think you'd be able to find ANY pack as good as those that @Gideonseymour can make... let alone one that is like his maps, and you'd be able to run

I played RR with 2 GB assigned to it and it worked just fine.
Are you sure that you're actually giving it enough memory?

RR2 has far fewer mods than the original, so it would most likely run better. My only regret with the original was that I had so many mods in there. In the future, I'm planning on keeping all my modpacks at the least amount of mods possible. Sorry for the inconvenience :/

I'll give RR2 a try, and don't worry about that, I'm a exception, most people can play it without a problem :)

Here you have it:

The first image is the amount of ram I can give to it
Is you computer using a integrated graphics card? That might be using up lots of your available RAM

It looks like you only have 1.5GB of ram at max. Can your motherboard support more then that. If it can try and max out what it can support.

Sorry. re-read the image. Are you sure it is a 32bit processor? Just because the OS is 32 doesn't follow that the rest of the computer is. I don't know where to find a 64bit compatiblity checker anymore.

Actually the graphic card is the only good thing of my computer, I bought one because the computer had one integrated, and I couldn't play anything.

And yeah, I'm sure my processor is a 32 bits processor, if not I would have installed 64 bit windows a long time ago hahaha :)

Slightly amazed that a 32bit computer can actually run MC at all. Seems like ages ago that we made the switch to 64bit. Like 6-8 years ago if not more?
Are we talking a Pentium 4 or something like that? If so then I think its about high time to consider an upgrade ;)
