problem getting launcher to launch

So i just got my new computer up and running and when i go to launch FTB, yogscraft, it doesnt actually launch the game it downloads the yogscraft folder to my desktop and stops. What am i doing wrong, any help would be appreciated.

Go to options, and change the directory to wherever you're keeping the FTB launcher.

FTB does not work on your desktop, if that's where you're keeping it. Put it in a folder if it isn't already.

I thought it was like that so i placed it in a folder on my desktop ill try placing it somewhere else

Edit: I placed the file in my Documents folder and still nothing

Try deleting/uninstalling the launcher and installing it again. Before you try and download the YogCraft modpack, set the directory folder to the folder where you're keeping the FTB launcher, then try and download the YogCraft modpack again.

If it still doesn't work, could you show me the console?

Does it just end there?

I tried loading up the YogCraft modpack and got this.

Perhaps your firewall or your anti-virus is stopping you from downloading the complete pack?
