Okay so the first problem is when I open FTB launcher and it asks for me to download "A new mod pack version is available!" which fails every time. So I just click no and continue onto FTB.
Next comes when I log into a server. It doesn't appear that I'm lagging but when I try to break blocks (not at spawn) they break and nothing is dropped. And sometimes entire chunks don't load. Soon after I get this error:
internal exception: java.net.sockettimeoutexsception: read timed out

These problems are keeping me from playing minecraft server (single player works fine).
My computer can handle Minecraft no problem.
I have 64 bit version of Java.
My internet connection is the only thing that I think may be causing some of this. My download is only about 1Mbps, and upload is about the same.
If anyone could help me out I would be forever grateful.
