Problem Friends can't access server

I've recently made a Crash Landings server and It works for me when I run ServerStart.bat and join the server but when my friends try to join using my public IP address, it says can't reach server. Please help I've spent so much time trying to get this to work and nothing I've tried has worked.

Sounds like it's either running on a non-default port (check server.properties for the port number) or you need to configure your router to forward incoming connections to the PC running the server. Google your modem or router model with 'port forwarding' and I'm sure you'll find instructions.
