Problem Downloading actual FTB Launcher!

Hello. I am trying to download the FTB launcher on to my computer and it loads up where i want to save it and everything, but as soon as i press save it does nothing. I have tried letting it load, i have even left it for 2hrs over night, but still, nothing. Can someone please help me? I really want to get started on all the amazing mod packs!

Would be much appreciated!!! Thanks!

What OS do you have, and which browser do you use?

Try disabling your anti-virus and firewall software, then try again.

I am using google chrome, for some reason the java launcher works but the .exe one doesn't, but the java one is glitchy and doesn't allow me to log in. I am also not sure if i can turn off the firewall, it has a password on it that my parents have put on.
