One, not everyone is that good at the game.

Two, not every world has a nether fortress anywhere near where they enter. I've heard of people not finding any within several thousand squares. And the Nether is difficult to both travel and see in, especially if Natura is installed.
In my pure experience, I can always find a Nether Fortress with 500 blocks in all directions from spawn, if not, closer. And all that's really needed to get blaze rods easily is flight which the regular jetpack can do just fine. They are pretty easy to get early game, I could probably get it under an hour, if I strictly went for it.

Then define your own skill.

Is it the standard for a minecraft player? Modded minecraft player? Are you reliant on outside aid for anything? Do you understand most mechanics of the FTB mods? Are you a capable vanilla player? Does this include skills such as but not limited to: Fighting? Sense of direction? Terrain navigation?

Never consider your skill to be what should be a standard or lower. From what you say you seem to be a fairly capable player but many are not and do not understand advanced strategies toward reaching such goals that many veterans known innately or through experience. It's not about you it's about the player. All of them.

I think you may mean the soul shards mod
Confused that stuff with the stamper for igniters. I don't play with those mods much so they kinda get clumped together. I thought dark iron and immediately thought soul forge. Good stuff.

OP, to get end stone, just get to The End. You can do it really, really fast. All you need to do is convert a stack of iron into ender pearls and then get blaze powder from a desert. You don't even have to fight anything, just collect a few endstone blocks and leave. Make sure to make a linking book before you go though, so you don't get stuck.

You'll want to be in the End anyway since it's a really good source of enderpearls, xp and spoils bags with tons of good stuff.

I always forget about that! I swear, if I had my own server I would disable the minium stone, or at least recipes like 2 wood for 1 obsidian, and 4 iron for an ender pearl.

So in one hour you get 3 diamonds for a pick for obsidian, make a portal. Then get iron rubber copper and tin for jet pack then glowstone for jet pack. Generator to charge jet pack?

Then back to nether to find a nether fortress to kill blazes? That's crazy.

You don't actually need a jetpack. If you're decent enough you can manage the nether(Yes even Natura nether) with stone tools. You also don't need the diamonds as you can make a portal with two buckets. Really all you need is 7 iron, stone tools, surface lava, good amount of skill, and luck to match.

You don't need diamonds to go to the nether. You need 1 bucket (3 iron), 10 lava source blocks and 1 water source blocks.

It really helps if that 'luck' spawns a nether fortress right in front of your entrance. For some wierd reason we always have that luck on our server plays but when I play solo; no dice. The biggest challenge of getting blazerods is finding the fortress.
