I have a Minium Stone, but I can't convert 2 powder into one rod.

Was this nerfed and how can I set it back?

Nerfed, the same as with Bones/Bone Meal. Either in conjunction with pulverizer/macerator/etc. solutions would basically obsolete any need for having to address the need for these materials.

It's baked into the EE3 code itself, there's no configuration for it. Only way to turn it back is to roll back the version.

Is it possible to use a minium stone to revert the pulveriser/macerator (whichever is most yielding) recipe or is it just disabled. I know Pahimar was doing something along those lines I just haven't updated EE3 in a while.

That'll probably come into play when we have the versions with DynEMC in. When? Soon™. From what I understand he's had some recent breakthroughs on how he's handling it.

Oh, this is great. So the ONLY way to get them is by either going into the Nether and getting my arse handed to me by the things there or to cheat them in.

Bloody Lovely.

If you're on SP(Since cheating them in seems valid for you) then you can probably search around for an un-nerfed version. All he removed was the call for the recipes so there's only one line to add back in IIRC. I'm sure someone's made an un-nerfed version and if not it wouldn't really be hard to take 20 minutes to do yourself.

Just 2 problems with that:
1) don't know how to code...and
2) attention span of a gerbil.

So I guess it's s trip to the Nether as I play in Hard Mode in SSP and SMP and I don't cheat anything in. That just ruins a game.

Do dartcraft.
Make a force rod.
Imbue it with repair and some form of heat.
Be immune to blazes.
???
PROFIT?!?!!?11?1!

Look around, and find a blaze spawner. Build a cap over it, leave a one block gap at the bottom. They'll spawn inside, and you can whack at their feet and pick up the rods.

If you have Xeno's Reliquary in your pack, you can make a Coin of Fortune, and it'll suck up the rods. If you do, also consider a salamander's eye. It'll put out fires on you.

WHAT? Are they difficult to make? What's needed in their construction?

You should really look into dartcraft. It's fairly involved to write about it so I'd suggest watching an up-to-date spotlight(Not dw20's). A force rod you can check NEI for and to make it a fire resistance rod with repair you need a level 7 upgrade tome(Which is easy. Make a piece of force armor[you'll find out how if you watch the spotlight] infuse it with whatever you have excess of[sugar, charcoal, etc] then hit it with a force rod again to remove the enchants and repeat) and then you'll need the rod a piece of coal/charcoal/golden fuel source/blaze powder and one of any of the thaumcraft crystals.

OK, thanks for the advice...but now about question: how do I use blood in the Smelter to craft End Stone? I know it needs Obsidian, but blood? How's that used?

If you have factorization (I think), why not just make a spawner for yourself and begin to get stupid amounts of blaze rods. Soul force is relatively cheap and the only expensive part are the diamonds, but I think it's worth the investment.

I'm working on getting these Spawners. But trying to make end stone in the smeltery. How do I get the blood needed?

I don't understand how acquiring something through legit means ruins a game. Honestly, blaze rods are fairly easy to get even in the first few hours. From my point of view, getting blaze rods with the EE3 exploit is no different then just straight up spawning them. Only difference is, the EE3 method gives you a more "legit" feeling since you're not directly spawning them in. Personally, I dislike the mentality of "If it's in the game, it's legit!".

Nei is actually wrong here. it's ender pearls melted in the meltery, the liquid doesnt have a name so NEI defaults it's name to blood. One enderpearl should be enough to make 10 end stone

One, not everyone is that good at the game.

Two, not every world has a nether fortress anywhere near where they enter. I've heard of people not finding any within several thousand squares. And the Nether is difficult to both travel and see in, especially if Natura is installed.
