Hello, I've got an old PC and I want to put online my party with my personal modpack.
Can I do this?
If I can, how ?
Thank you for your answers

You can do this assuming the old computer is powerful enough to run the server.
What is the speed of the CPU and how much RAM does it have? OS is also important.

Yes, but most likely it will be much more limited than other servers (don't expect to invite 25 people on to your server). You will need at least 4GB of RAM, though 8GB would be highly recommended specifically allocated to the server. You need standard hardware for everything else and decent internet (15GB/s dw, 1gb/s upload minimum, I'd recommend at least 30gb/s dw, 4gb/s up for a small amount of players. The process for setting up your own personal server is the same as any other server. If you don't know how to start a basic server, you shouldn't be making a modded one.

Speed CPU : 1,9955 GHz
RAM : 2 Go
Damn that's a fast CPU!

I think you mean 1.9955GHZ ~2GHz and 2GB RAM. No, you shouldn't run a server on 2GB of RAM and that clock speed is ancient. If you managed to get the server working, don't think for a minute you could play FTB and host a server on the same device. I'm afraid you'll have to upgrade to get a server going. I'd suggest seeing if one of your friends (with better specs) will host it instead.

Sidenote, recommend desktops for servers. Dedicated servers have been known to kill laptop batteries. Not to mention the heat...
