I have tried prism 1.4.1 on mcpc but on startup it gets a lot of java errors and shuts itself off. Yet prism worked fine with mcpc a few days ago is it the prism or mcpc version that doesn't work? I'm using Legacy 67 now but a few days ago I was using legacy 58. If I need to downgrade mcpc to L58 would that have any severe effects on the server?

Does anybody have any ideas on this? It has been several days now and I can't seem to figure it out.

Well considering there are no errors in the log makes it rather hard to track down. You could back date mcpc and see if that is the real cause.

I have down graded the mcpc version to the one that it worked on before however it isn't connecting. I have entered the hostname username password and database name and chosen mysql. Is this a problem with the database and how would I fix this?

I had it on a different host before and I didn't have any admin access to it I have moved it to my website just now since I didn't want to continue paying for the old one. If the database is turned off how would I start it?

I setup the mysql database on a cpanel, and I made a new database I also tested prism on sqlite and it was working however id prefer mysql. I'm a bit new to web hosting and mysql so this could be completely my fault in not setting it up right.

Is your server on the same machine as your database? if not you might have to allow firewall access.

Ok well your going to need to check to see that the two computers can communcate. First try with ping then from there see what port they need. What OS are the system systems running on?

Ok so they will at least see eachother. Looks like a linux distro. Do you have x2go installed or just doing it all via ssh?
