Hi, I have found dense ores page and generated prety stable world with lot of resource (3 stacks diamonds in 10min) and I want to run quary. In my main world I was using solar panels and some engines to transfer it to mJ, but in dense ores age is always night and no lava(even underground). What type of power generations I can use there, or use other machine to mine ? I tried to transfer power with Energy tesseract but them not transfering power in other age.

P.S I have alot of resources and can build any machine.

Sorry for my bad English :)

(I use Direwolf20)

Energy tesseracts work fine, you can also use liquid tesseracts to transfer lava, steam or biomass. Item tesseracts can be used to transport stuff like charcoal.

Options 'a plenty.

You can use Electric Engines with an IDSU (in Mindcrack) or normal Item transportation methods with Batteries/Energy Crystals/etc, you can use a Tesseract ... heck, you can even use (some sort of Turtle whose name I can't remember) to pick up charged Redstone Energy Cells in one dimension and teleport them to another with a Tesseract or Ender Chest.

why so complicated? minecarts can travel through mystcraft portals, so a mfsu-cart from railcraft would be capable of transporting that amount of energy over there. but then I would suggest to use the IC2 miners and not a bc quarry.

the same thing works with tank-carts loaded with fuel, biomass or lava (steam would work too, but just 16 units of steam per cart?). and inside the dense ore world, set up a boiler to run your quarry on steam engines...

EDIT: or with a liquid transposer, you can generate fuel cells/cans and transfer them with a vanilla chestcart to your dense ore world. the unloader unloads the cells, unpackages them to a tank.
the next item loader loads your chestcart with the empty cells/cans and your mined ores. and the cart travels back to your base (through a second portal).

EDIT2: forestry farms just need light, not daylight. so setting up a farm (trees, wheat, anything else) would work too. you even can look around if your dense ore world contains oil wells... oh, and at least my dense ore world contains tons of coal... even that would work.

The easy way make four tesseracts two for power & two for items, set one energy tesseract up at your power base to send power, hook one of the item tesseracts to your sorting system, at the quarry place the other energy tesseract next to quarry, "touching quarry" set to receive & your quarry is powered at max or as fast as your power net will run less 25% "loss on tess usage" hook a diamond pipe to side of quarry other side to item tesseract & set to send only, in the middle of diamond pipe add a void pipe as sending tons of dirt/cobble/etc is pointless, simple 4x1 block foot print setup.

You can get a dense ore age with 1 symbol with only minor effects (like slowness and stuff). Or he could just have cheated and disabled instability altogether.

One thing to remember is that the debuff only happen while you are exposed to sky, well seems to be, so mining in most any age is possible as long as you stay under ground, atm I use a poisoned age as my quarry age, until I find a better one, it was my first try with limited pages, will do until I have all the pages I need for a couple of ages I have in mind.

edit, I did make a quantum helm with near all the mats I had at the time to counter the poison :p.

How did you get a STABLE dense ore age?

My strategy: make a cave world with dense ores. That way you will never be exposed to the surface. Why? So you can add crap tons of things like "charged" and "scorched surface" (or even meteors but it eventually eats through the upper layer so I would not recommend doing that) which gets rid of the instability thus making a nice and safe dense ore world.

If you plan to use multiple dense ore symbols than meteors become a necessity because it's the only thing that removes enough instability to prevent decay.

The best part about that is, if you're foolhardy enough to head up topside and mine out the remains of the meteors, you can still get some pretty decent resources.

The way I have it is have a bank of engines in your main base, feed that into a energy tesseract

Then just plonk down the tesseract next to the quarry whenever you move it.
Upside: Huge amount of convenience, no upkeep
Downside: 25% of the energy you produce is lost
