For that matter, this is not something that should have even been posted on a public form, but should have been handled privately and quietly, first by a PM to the mod author, then contacting the original owner of the intellectual property. Perhaps PMing one of the FTB crew to ask the original inquiry of where you should go for further inquiries.

Leave it alone. I used to mod for Morrowind and borrowing textures from games made things go a lot faster than if I had done everything from scratch.

As epidemia78 said, it is quicker. But if you are going to go through such lengths to fuss about 2 sprites then I shall remove them and replace them (albeit with much crappier sprites). Next time instead of publicly voicing you concern it might be quicker if you just PM me on these forums or the minecraftforums so this can be handled in a much more civil manner

Mod has been updated. The update listener will not warn you of a new version as the version numbers are the same. The only difference is the textures

While I agree that unless those two sprites were open source, or from abandonware, using sprites from another game is risky business and should be avoided for exactly this reason.
But I bolded the bit I don't really agree with. Unless you wanted to actually stop working on the mod, then why stop? And if you did want to stop, this is a bad time to do so because you lose face for annoucing it here.

Now, I'm not saying I know what is going on with OP aside from being a jerk, but I can say the mod interests at least me. If you needed help with art, you have a whole community who may help if you just asked. Or just said "Does anyone know of a decent looking icon for item "X"? I need one for my mod", and god knows who may find a good freeware or just open liscenced art for that item.

...See, what I'm saying here is I'd be willing to help locate replacements for those "two stolen textures" if you just asked where people like I could see. Might even do it now, even.

No no no this isn't me having a temper tantrum. I have actually been wanting to drop this mod for quite a while now. And with all this noise and my Minecraft forums post being deleted (which i do not want to re-make because im lazy) I figured that there was no better time then now.

There have been countless times that would have been better, sir. Just saying it elsewhere before now is better, or saying it down the line when people ask "why isn't arcane scrolls updated" or "when can we get the next update of arcane scrolls".
