When I tried breaking my mining turtle with a spawned fiery pickaxe (dont know if crafted will make a difference), the client crashed. This happened 2 times, with the second time just double checking that that was the reason.

Secondly, I am not fully sure that you can breed into some of the extra bees breeds. I have tried with boatloads of arboretums going on just to get into the stony bee family, so as to make mineral bees. Nothing has worked. Perhaps the guide I was following though is out of date? The following sites are the ones I have used as a guide for this.

Just some thoughts.

ExtraBees is still in the alpha/beta stages and much of it is still not working properly.
Not sure about the turtle thing.

Keep in mind, I'm not telling you off, this is just a piece of friendly advice.
If your client crashes for whatever reason, please provide a log for it. This helps us diagnose your issue better and if it's something only a dev can fix, it would help them identify the root of the problem and possibly fix it for a future update.

Ash summed up the Bee thing pretty nicely, it would be redundant for me to repeat what she said.
As for the turtle thing, that's no more than a mod to mod conflict. you have to realize that a lot of modders don't make their mods with others in mind. They aren't designed to function with other mods unless they collaborate.

If I'm not mistaking, the pickaxe you used is a Twilight Forest tool which is trying to break a ComputerCraft block. These two mods have never worked together before and therefore haven't had each other in mind when they designed their respective mods. (By the way, as far as I'm aware, whether it's spawned or crafted won't make a difference.)

The only thing I could tell you is to be patient, post a log of the crash if you can replicate it and with any luck the devs will work on it in the future. Now that the modders are working with the modpack devs, we should see a fix in the future. Feedback always helps.
