Possible to change biomes?

I've been looking for interesting ways to generate power in my current survival world, and I decided to use Solar Turbines (Advanced Generators for IC2) and Buildcraft Solar Collectors (Advanced Power Systems for BC). Both these generators get a boost while in the desert, so is there a way to change the biome of my base?

the ic2 terraformer is the only modpack mod way but if you install the 3rd party singleplayer-commands mod it comes with world edit and you can do it that way though its cheating

While the terraformer changes the land I'm not sure it actully changes the collunms biome id.

That is a good point I completely blanked on that I guess you will have to use a mod to do so

You will be able to do it when soul shards matures, it's part of the planned progress of the mod in the higher tech tiers.

Very cool, for now I suppose I could just make a desert mystcraft age.

If you build your base out of frames, you can change the biome of your base by moving it. I don't recommend this

Just throwing this out there this is a really nice and simple third party software that allows you to paint over biomes which does the biomes ID i use it to change green swamps to normal swamps so slime's can spawn.

Where did you hear about this? Any idea how far out we're talking?
