possible adventure map

well heres the plan im thinking of making a adventure map including a lot of challenges and ideas from you. Now the hard part deciding what mods are good for what challenges and with the tier 5 spawners the challenges can be brutal so im thinking of making different skill levels so if you have a idea post it dont be scared and you may even get credit at the end of the map

I do have some ideas of my own that would be nice for this. However, I would like to ask that you do include some challenge ideas of your own. I have seen quite a few maps that only used community items, and they ultimately failed. You must style this to your own mind. Take our ideas, and bend them to your will. That is an add-on to your most likely already amazing creativity. We are here to help you. My idea is down there.

Lambert rarely goes on this forum, but if he did, he would say that this is (no offence) an LOI Thread. (Lack of Imagination.) What you are basically saying is that you want to make challenges, but you have no ideas and want everyone else to give you ideas. This is absurd and unacceptable.

There used to be threads like this on General FTB Chat. Lambert was there to fix that. But I had to fix it for him this time.
This greatly offends me. Asking for ideas is not a symbol of a lack of imagination, but a drive to please an audience and create something memorable and potentially unique. It is difficult to contemplate every plausible usage for certain things, and combinations are nearly limitless, so finding out which ones people prefer as well as attempting to learn of new ones is not a "lack of imagination" in any way shape or form, but a determination to learn of new ones and gain motivation. How about, next time you ask for help, or how something works, or if something would be interesting, I tell you that you need to become more creative and that asking for that is a sign of dependence? How about, next time you desire something, or wish for assistance and/or motivation in relation to others or an idea of your own, I shoot you down because you did the same for this person? Don't say this kind of shit if you don't want negative retaliation, and certainly don't include others in your destructive criticism when they do not wish to be. I will fight back on this subject, and you have no right to say anything like this regardless of circumstance. You have disappointed me, and angered me by being negative upon a subject in which you have no knowledge, experience, or right to input. You should feel terrible about tearing another down, because all it does is rip the empathy you could have gleaned out of your visage, so now, I will never consider you more than a heartless individual again.

I've always wanted to make a sort of gauntlet with different levels. I planned on simply putting a little entrance to an inconspicuous area below ground, and then MFFS takes your stuff and traps you in. It would require that you sleep before you move on, lest your items be permanently stolen. Then, next room would open, and the gauntlet would begin. In each area, you would be given specific gear relative to the area, and this could be anything from say, a redstone torch for a redstone challenge, to diamond gear and a sword for a battle area, to boots of the traveler for a parkour area. When you complete a set of areas, it teleports you to another (I planned on using a biome theme to mine, so you would go from different biome areas to the nether to the end and such, with each area being different.) When you complete them all, it gives you a prize of some sort as well as your items back. Glean from that what you will, tell me if any ideas spark.

Anyway, my idea:
Wait, I gotta know. Is this a fighting map? Because I have ideas for progression. I am always all about progression, checklists, going up the tiers of weapons and such. For example, the beginning would be a Tier one spawner of, say, zombies or something. If you deposit x number of rotten flesh, then you get to the next room. And the items you would first have would be a Wood Sword and Leather Armor. If you end up using Tinkers Construct, this idea of progression would get much, much better, considering how you can modify things. A good door would be a mystcraft portal that disarms. This way the player cannot bring any of his old items into the next room and thus deposit older stuff. Then you could give him new items.
Do note, however, if you do not at least make one or two of your own challenges, I will delete this post. I do want to hear some of your creativity also. Thank you.

So killer I would have to ask besides the basic idea of you want an adventure map what is your actual goal or theme. These would have a huge effect on everything from what if any mods you would use to just what sort of challanges you would have. Most adventure maps fall into CTM or Story driven so there is a lot of leg work you would need to get done before you even get down to the brass tacs of idea hunting.

right now its a ctm driven map with a small story to it. i have a small problem at the moment im not good at writing mystcraft ages and need some that is to help create 4 different ages
1. with a cave world ( killing/hunting area ) ( lowest level )
2. same as one but if its possible the stone replaced with netherrack ( killing/hunting area ) (medium level )
3. a full ocean world ( the parkour area ) ( hard level )
4. a sky world ( searching/monument area ) ( brutal level )
