Portal Guns

So I just found a couple. One with a piece of bacon on it, lol...

What do you guys use them for? Set up a couple portals for fast transport? Any other innovative uses that you guys have thought of?

Interested to see what people have come up with.
 
Place two portals on the ground, far enough away from each other that while near one your not personally chunkloading the second.

Jump in.

Bounce between the two...
And suffocate in a wall.

Ensure this is done in the nether.
FAR away from this way back, so your stuff will not be found.

Enjoy making all your stuff again, due to it a being eaten.
 
Transporting storage, mostly. Since you can pick up barrels and chests without losing the contents, I like to move them to my storage area after they're full (this usually applies to quarries and mob grinders.)
 
To go from my main base where I have all my machines down to my tree farm.
Or to go back to my main base when I'm done with caving. (For other transportation we have mystcraft)


And for my Rubber Tree Room :D
 
A simple mob farm.
Put one at the top of a deep pit. Enough to hurt, but not kill.
Other portal under a mob.
After collecting a bunch go back and kill them safely.
 
btw on near every server moon portal is turned off as it eats the chunk & then starts working out to the next chunks, in short eating servers is not really a good idea, not even eating a single player game would be advised, its removed in later versions of portal gun I beleave.

should you wish to try it do so in a new map & spawn in a portal gun, that way if its still in the pack version you use you will not destroy your map/items/world, from what I remember it was dramatic.
 
I had no idea you couuld get to the moon in MC.

I wish you could build vehicles. I'd build a starship, submarine, etc. Run it with BIOFUEL or a nuclear reactor.

Or 10000 generators and charcoal, bwahahhaha.

You get sucked to the moon via portal gun you die. Sorry to ruin everyone's fun intentionally trolling.
It so will screw up your server.

I'm guessing Galacticraft can do something for you.
Never used it myself mind, so take that with a pinch if salt.
 
Haha, well I kinda figured that it would ruin your world.

But it's an interesting thing to think about. Another direction MC could go as well.

That's what it's about - space.

I think it's included in a bunch of the Tevhnic Laumcher packs if you want to try it out.
 
Interdasting. I'll look into it.

Do you build vehicles and stuff? Do you have to worry about powering them? Or is it just portals?

I am more interested in the technical stuff, not so much about doing mystcraft with space.
