Mac Portal gun stuck in crafting table

Hey guys!

I finally have my first nether star so all excited I crafted my first portal gun, to only have it being stuck in the project table. I can't grab it out it just slips back into place. When I shift click I have it in my inventory, but if I try to grab it it goes back to the project table it was made in.. even if I'm 20 chunks away (wut?)

I found like 2 threads in the entire internet about this but no obvious solution.
I'm playing on my own direwolf client.

I didn't do the latest direwolf update yet, but neither did the server.. so everything should be fine right?

Any help is appreciated, meanwhile I'll just stare at my portalgun...

My guess is the server you're playing on somehow disabled the crafting recipe, that sounds trademark of a recipe on the client but not the server. Ask an admin to confirm this.

also if there are differing mod versions it can cause that problem too.

Update PortalGun, both client and serverside.

Updating the server fixed the problem, it was indeed the difference between client and server that caused it.
