Port Forward

Hello. I port forwarded my server in the same way as guys from youtube. Then I wnt to ipchicken or whatismyip. I typed it in the IP adress. I even added :25565 and nothing. Can't connect to the server.
I changed the port at server properties to 25564. Port forwarded it. added in-game :25564 and still nothing. PLS help

Does the PC your server is running on have its own firewall you need to add an exception to?

When you port forward in your router it asks for the IP, which you need to put the IPv4 Address in that line. So do your windows search and type in "cmd" no quotes. That opens the command line, then type "ipconfig" no quotes. That will show you your IPv4 address.
