I can look at a map, but a general idea of what barriers there are would be nice (where I can't go).

Why can't we enter Diglett's cave? Can we go to Mt. Moon?

Diglett's cave is behind a cut bush. You don't have HM01 Cut yet!

Yeah, once I've got my badge, grind all of my pokemon to level 30, which I believe is my new max.
