Please wait while mods are being loaded

I downloaded the launcher an the jar file and when I open the FTB modpack all it says islease wait while mods are being loaded. Can someone please help?

specs: macbook pro 13 inch late 2010, mac OS 10.8.2, intel core 2 duo 2.4 GHz, java 6 (I think)

Well, you're very welcome. From what I'm reading, give it time (probably for the servers to catch up and relax a bit) and you should be able to update and play later. Watch Top Gear!

I don't think this issue is totally related to the Java version only because I am using 6 because 7 caused a lot of issues, I downgraded quite a while ago. I'm having this issue for the first time ever tonight. I'm just guessing it's the FTB servers at this point.

Well, that all depends on your operating system. Windows=Java 7, Mac=Java 6

Must be servers. Windows failing too
