PLEASE HELP

So basically I've been trying to get myself a server made so that me and another friend can play together, I live in Minnesota and he lives in Texas. Everytime I follow along with some YouTube video, I do absolutely everything they do but the part I am getting stopped at is trying to open the ".bat" files. It opens what looks like a command prompt screen and then immediately automatically closes out of it. I managed to spam click the folder and get some screen shots here of the "errors" it's catching. PLEASE someone help me and try to figure out why I can't get into the server folders. Thank you anyone!

Seemed to have changed things around a bit, still didn't let me access the folder for ".bat" and now I'm getting screen shot 2 as a result

I guess you have Java installed ok? It seems that java havent set $PATH environment setting right. If you just installed java and try to run it, you need to restart computer for the environment setting to be ok.

Edit: Woops, you did correct the $PATH problem, so scratch that reply!



Take 2:
Did you unpack the server zip? You need to run the .bat inside the extracted folder.
