If you give it a seed the map it will produce a vanilla version of the world, which in no way matches the world that would be generated by FTB.

Sure, but I've heard that the village locations still match up.

I didn't do much in the way of testing, but I genned a ssp and went to the three closest villages and nothing. This was using the level.dat file, I didn't try it with the seed so it might work in that case. Extra Biomes does mess with the village spawning though, so, I'm still not that optimistic about the accuracy.

Well, Vanilla villages only generate in certain biomes and the same holds for EBXL-assisted Villages, so if the biomes tend to match up, that would be plausible.
