Details of the issue In the server i play on with my buddies one (server owner) has veinminer or something like that, he says he doesnt know how he has it, and none of the rest of us have it or can figure out how he does. When i install the veinminer mod i cant join because its not on the server. Please help and thank you.

When I try to add the mod to my mod pack I cant join the server because of a conflicting mod

Well yes. In almost all cases, the mod has to be present on the server as well as on your computer otherwise there is a conflict. If you're playing single player its not an issue. but on a server, the server and all players must have not only the same mods, but the same mod versions.
