Details of the issue:

This is a general minecraft issue with driver updates, details here: http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/pixel-format-not-accelerated/. My issue is in the fine print on the page, I have a first generation Intel HD Graphics Chipset. I downloaded the MSI linked to on the page, and the new minecraft runs successfully. However, FTB seems to not be fixed. I do not know by what magic the MSI fixed my original problem, so I cannot apply that magic to fix FTB. Any help is much appreciated. Downgrade your java:

Go to options tab and allocate more ram, set it to 2-2,5gb (you need to leave some for the os and other applications that you run)

Post new log if it still fails.

It is working now, thank you. I have it allocated at 2gb now, it loads. I get almost 2 fps, lol. That's not your problem though, that's just cause my machine is bad. Now I am off to disabling auxiliary mods, thanks for the help .

@Pscioed .msi download and use java 8u25. The problem is described in https://github.com/LWJGL/lwjgl/issues/119 and intel refuses to fix their driver: https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/graphics-driver-bug-reporting/topic/607695

We just released new launcher test version which might fix this problem for java 8u60 and newer: ftb.cursecdn.com/FTB2/maven/net/ftb/FTB_Launcher/1.4.13-395/FTB_Launcher-1.4.13-395.jar not sure yet if the fix is working because nobody has tested it. If you are feeling brave, please test, and report back if fix is working. (please share a log if testing)

@grandrolf offer test version as alternative fix for new support request to get feedback.

I installed java 8u25 from the java archives. I downloaded the FTB jar you linked, and ran it. In Options->Advanced I changed the java path to 1.8.0_25 64bit. I re-enabled all the skyfactory modpacks, I know 3 were disabled by default, but I don't remember which 3. I then launched, things seemed to go well. At 10:56:49 the main menu appeared, it was awfully laggy. I created a new world, just the default options. After a couple minutes of nothing happening I attempted to open task manager, but that wasn't working so I killed minecraft from the only thing that was responding at all, the FTB console (SNAFU, I don't think my laptop can handle that many mods at once). I'm happy to help you test the new launcher, but if I'm downloading 8u25 to use it, that's just as easy as installing 8u51 and using the regular launcher. I am guessing that at some point I misunderstood either what I was doing or what you wanted me to do. If I should do something differently, just let me know and I will run it again.

Fixes in new launcher should enable usage of java 8u60 and newer with first two generations of HD graphics. If possible change back to newer java and try launch a pack.

Registering into oracle's website, downloading older java, installing older java and configuring launcher to use older java are extra steps I would like to remove. 1.4.13 contains code which hopefully fixes known driver problem. (Intel won't fix it :/)

I installed 8u91 64bit from the archives (32 bit browsers apparently install 32 bit java on the main page). I ran the FTB launcher you linked to, on SkyFactory again. Same error as before, Pixel Format Not Accelerated http://paste.feed-the-beast.com/view/02d9ccc6. Not sure how helpful this is, but it didn't work.
