Permissions for YogCraft server?

I have set up a YogCraft FTB server with no alterations.
It seems that there are no options for controlling groups and command permissions out of the box? Apart from ops.txt, what would you suggest for controlling permissions? I use MCMA, which has support for exporting the MCMA configuration to PermissionsEx, bPermissions, Group Manager and PermissionsBukkit. Are any of those a viable option?

I have only hosted simple Vanilla and Tekkit-based servers previously, and generally do not follow the mod-scene and don't play much myself. So this may be a case of me being ignorant.
That said, I have done a fair bit of research, but am lost in all the Forge stuff and how various mods make Bukkit-mods Forge-available and vice versa. I just want to control permissions from my server control software.

MCMA uses a plugin to controll that, that plugin is only compatible with bukkit.
Download and install MCPC+ or ForgeBukkit to support plugins, you can then use perm plugins like Pex or Bperms, ...

Greedseed: You mean replace the server jar that comes with the FTB YogCast download, but retain the included plugins? And then I can install permissions plugin. Is that correct?
