Heya!

Like many, im addicted to the chisel mod now. Being able to build with cobblestone and dirt and have the end result looking not-so-ugly is like a dream.

However, im worried about possible performance issuees regarding the connected textures... most of the blocks I use have them, and I build large structures with them.

Do they cause any significant perfomance decrease?

I personally haven't noticed any impact from connected textures.
(they shouldn't do- these were designed to be used in massive amounts)
FPS 'Lag' is normally buggy code/excessive entities (like dropped items)/ or a lot machinery/piping ect

Edit- CTM probably causes some FPS drop, but its probably several orders of magnitude smaller than the rest of the game/mod/pack content.

From my limited knowledge of Minecraft rendering, all connected textures are are blocks that change their texture to match what is next to them, only updating upon a block update. So as long as the textures are 16x, like most MC blocks, or at most 32x, then there should be no problems.
