So I enjoy Minecraft and FTB, and am interested in youtubing some stuff, maybe an LP or something. However, in my initial experiments, running SSP and recording didn't end up very well. I normally get somewhere in the range of 80-100 fps (standard fps increasing settings: normal view distance, fast graphics, etc) with a couple applications running in the background. In trying to record using OSB, with nothing else running besides modded minecraft and OSB it drops around to like 20 fps. I understand how recording is incredibly demanding to a system, so what i'm asking is, "What would be the best/most cost-effective upgrade to make to my system to be able to record at at least ~30-ish fps?"

I know my system isn't great to begin with, and cost is certainly an issue, but i'll put a pastebin with my system specs, and hope for little trolling. As i mentioned, cost is an issue, and my budget for upgrading is roughly $200. Any suggestions would be helpful.

PS: atm, i'm leaning towards graphics card, tho i don't know how helpful that will be, as i was told some mojo about JAVA not using video cards to render (I have no idea, honestly.) Many people speak about their amazing systems with astonishingly expensive graphics cards, and I've read on forums about that particular upgrade being helpful....tho i really haven't a clue. TY again for any help.

Personally I would invest in more RAM (depending on your motherboard) and run your FTB off a RAMDisk and OSB on your hard disk

And if you have it could you please post your hardware specs

The specs to my pc are in the pastebin link in the original post, unless there's something else specific you're looking for

I had thought about a ramdrive, but the max ram my mobo can handle is 8 gigs. I'm not really sure what a good amount of total ram would be to play and record, but if it's more than 8 gigs, that would require the purchase of a new mobo, possibly processor, and all the ram, which i don't think falls w/in the $200 budget. Of course it depends on what is actually purchased, but any way you slice it, that's quite a ways for $200 to stretch.
