Pack editing help?

Hey guys - this is my first post, be gentle, please.

I tried my handing at adding a few mods to the existing Direwolf20 pack, but was apparently unsuccessful (nothing new showed up in NEI).

I disabled the version of Forestry in there, and added the 1.6.4.2 version, then added Thaumicbees (0.9.0) and ExtraBees (1.4.9.2).

There were no errors and MC didn't crash, but I don't think it worked. Any input? Maybe the Forge version isn't correct? (although, that being the case I suspect updating that will throw other mods out of whack. Perhaps this is a wait for update type of edit?).

I don't think Forge updates tend to harm backwards compatibility.

How exactly did you go about making the additions/updates? And did you keep the configs and grab the configs from the Mindcrack pack for Extra Bees?

Wait wait wait, there's a new thaumicbees? This is beautiful.
OT: I'm pretty sure Extrabees required an NEI addon in order to show up in NEI. Go into creative and see if you can spawn anything from there.

I just edited the mod pack, and added/removed the necessary mods.

I didn't know about the config files. That's beyond my skill level, so I shall google. Thanks so much for your input!

In case anyone was wondering, I did get it to work. I had the incorrect file for ExtraBees
