Overcoming the 10MB server texure pack size limit?

Does anyone know of a way to add a server texture pack that breaks the 10MB limit? It's highly frustrating a vast majority of texture packs here break that limit and I can't use any on my server.

If you want a texture pack that has mod support, I doubt you're going to get anything with less than 10mb. Even 16x texture packs can get up to 20mb.

You could also set the message of the day to a texture pack link, but I understand that's not the same.

The answer to your question is no. I've looked everywhere, and everywhere you go the answer is the same. It's a damn shame too.

I've actually never seen the server texture thing before, even on vanilla servers.

it's been a feature for awhile but any of these packs beats the limit so thats why i was looking for a way to remove or up the limit.

I know it's been a feature for a while.

Maybe contact a modder, they might make you a small mod that has to be installed client and server side to change the limit.

I have found people like Gregorious and Denoflions very accepting of small side projects if you ask nicely and they aren't busy coding their own mods.
