Outside connection problems (magic world)

Hey guys,
So i have a magic world server, and it works perfectly when I play on it. But when I give my external ip and my port to a friend (this has happened multiple times) they all cant seem to find any connection. So I was wondering if there was anything I could possibly do about it, if its a problem with the pack, or just bad internet? thanks! oh and about four weeks ago the server used to work. I think it might have something to do with my firewall settings but idk. I dont know a whole lot about it so help would be greatly appriciated

in the server.properties you should have a port set (default it's 25565), this port needs to be forwarded to your server ip-adress in your router.
You might have done this a while back for the internal IP-adres the server had at that time. If you arren't using a fixed IP-adres for the server, this adress will change every reboot.
