Mac OutOfMemoryError

So after updating to the latest MineCrack pack, I have been experiencing constant crashes due to an OutOfMemoryError. A crash every so often would be no big deal, the issue here is that I crash, without fail, within 5 mins of logging onto a server.

I've tried to search for a fix but the only thing I've found so far is to adjust the RAM allocated to FTB. I have 16g of RAM on my comp and have run FTB with 6.25g for as long as I can remember just fine. The amount of RAM I've allocated can't possibly be causing me to run out within 5 mins.

I crash to a block screen without a crash report every time but here is the log:

I cant even get the game to run at all in OSX after the last patch.
