Ore Spawn Tweaking

I've been considering building my own mod pack for a bit now, since none of the others quite meet my playstyle. It'll be a private pack to start with and perhaps as a third-party pack later.

It's based around using trains a lot, and what I'm wondering is if there's a mod I missed that could biome lock the various ores. So Iron can only be found in mountains, gold under deserts, and so on.

CoFHCore can do pretty much anything you want with ore gen. Their wiki has tons of information on building the JSON files that define what ores spawn where (biome, dimension, height, distribution, cluster shape, ...). You will need to go into each mod and disable it's internal ore gen, but this goal is easy to accomplish.
