Option to save mod packs on your pc.

I help out, run, and play on a few servers that are different mod packs. It's a little annoying to have to re-download packs when I switch between mod packs and versions. It would be good if after I download a version it would stay on my pc and I could just select whichever version and it will load right away.

Really? It never has for me, every time I change packs/versions it does a complete download and only 1 version of 1 pack is saved at a time.

you should have a separate install folder for each mod pack under the ftb folder ie. Ultimate, Direwolf20, etc. Where do you have you launcher installed at? Maybe the folder it is in is being cleared out for some reason such as it being in a temporary folder.

Launcher is in my downloads folder. Should I move it to appdata\roaming\ftblauncher?

Downloads folder should be fine. Anywhere should be okay as long as the system does not auto empty it, I use C:\Games\FTB

Wait, I think I'm seeing miscomunication.

You want to switch between, say, ultimate 1.4.7 and ultimate 1.4.7 (final) and ultimate test 1.5.2 without it overwriting?

I want to switch between MindCrack 8.3.2, MindCrack 8.2, and Ultimate 1.1.2 without the launcher re-downloading everything each time. It only saves 1 version download at a time.

Yes, it will only keep one version of mindcrack and one version of Ultimate.

One of those is for a server, yes, one that does not intend to update?

It will be updated, 8.3.2 just has severe problems so I keep my server on 8.2. Also no it doesn't keep 1 version of each pack. No matter how many times I switch back and forth between MindCrack 8.2 and Ultimate 1.1.2, it re-downloads every time I switch.

The launcher does keep one version of each pack. Check you have the most updated launcher. If that doesn't work, a launcher dev will probably need to come and look at this.
