I've looked up how to add Optifine to FTB Revelations, but every tutorial is for the old launcher for FTB. I really need optifine because my frames have been dropping hard recently!

Optifine isn't going to help with that, it's just going to make it worse. FTB Revelations already has FPS optimization mods built-in, Optifine doesn't play well with them and is most likely just going to crash out.
To answer your question however, if you did wish to install Optifine locally, you can install it from their official site (ensuring that it is 1.12.2 and stable) and then drop that downloaded jar file into your Revelation mod folder. Whether it works or not isn't something we can be responsible for, but if you wish to attempt it, it is entirely at your disposal.
