Optifine not working on direwolf 1.6.4

I downloaded the most recent version of optifine for 1.6.4, Put it the mods folder for Direwolf.1.6.4, but it won't initialize, and won't show up in mods list ingame

We don't support the use of Optifine in the packs here. For assistance with getting Optifine working, please check the MCF thread for Optifine.
