Optifine hates FTB? Or the other way around?

Description of the problem: Does Optfine not like Forge and/or FTB itself? Whenever i play w/ optifine, it crashes immidiately. I look in the log itself that is opened when you open the launcher and it says it does not support Optifine? why does this make my game crash? Is there a way to have it supported?

Optifine changes a lot of the rendering mechanics of Vanilla Minecraft, thus breaking a ton of mods causing them to crash. There's no way around it other than uninstall Optifine. And even if you installed Optifine, in future you wouldn't be able to get support from the support team.

Optifine is not compatible with a lot of other mods. It's meant to be used with Vanilla (like many mods originally were)

When installing OptiFine together with other mods always make sure to install OptiFine last. The only exception are mods which are designed to be installed after OptiFine and say so in their install instructions.

If you need ModLoader: Install OptiFine AFTER ModLoader.
If you need Forge: Install OptiFine AFTER Forge.
MCPatcher is NOT needed for HD textures, HD fonts and BetterGrass, they are included in OptiFine.
Install OptiFine without MCPatcher's HD features for best performance.
If you need DynamicLights (ModLoader edition): Install OptiFine AFTER DynamicLights.
Compatible with: ModLoader, Forge, SinglePlayerCommands, TooManyItems, PlasticCraft, CJB's Modpack, Zan's Minimap, Rei's Minimap, DynamicLights, GLSL Shaders 2, LittleBlocks and many other.
Not compatible with: CCTV, The Aether.
