I've wanted to play FTB for quite some time now. I play it through the launcher and experience quite a bit of lag that makes gameplay annoyingly difficult. I play without texture packs.
I want to try optifine to help with some of my lag issues. I've already allocated memory, so I figure optifine is my next step. However, every time I try optifine I get a black screen on startup. I am installing it in the jars section of the launcher's mod section. I've followed several tutorials. Nothing I do seems to help and I haven't found a solution in other threads. Can anyone help?
