Opti-fine Issue

I think its a bug with Opti-fine but unsure, As with out Opti-fine buttons, levers, and pressure plates work as intended but with Opti-fine they dont work at all.

Probably is. Lot of people do have problems which optifine.

This is what annoys me about mods for minecraft. Theres so many versions out there for so many versions of mincraft. Im starting to think the modding community is just trying to get hits on adyfly/whatever to generate cash for themselves. Optifine version D2 is the correct one atm is it? I have it sitting on my desktop, but things are working ok so don't really want to try it in case it all goes wrong. version D2 is that for minecraft 1.4.7 or 1.4.6 or 1.2.5? (Because you never know how a modder is labeling his versions till you get to know how he labels them) As someone fairly new to minecraft and noting quite well that versions of mods dont always match with versions of minecraft. I find it to be a right pain it the bottom

I believe it is built for 1.4.6 with the intention of it being compatible with 1.4.7.

Things like the Magic Map in twilight forest being broken are still not fixed but those have been broken since forever. If anyone has looked through the Optifine thread on the minecraftforums... I'm sure they would wonder how sp614x (mod author) ever gets anything done with the massive amount of people complaining about Optifine capes and how a version of the mod for 1.2.5 isn't working with 1.4.7. On top of trying to add in new features people keep requesting before/while fixing old bugs.

I have had contact with the maker of optfine regarding this when he released the D series of optifine
The B series work for Dw20 V4 and MindCrack v7 (unknown by head what forge version)
The C Series work for DW20v5 and MindCrack v8 (forge 515)
The D series only work for Forge 518 and above

So not working with FTB DW20 which is forge 515. And there in lies the problem. So many modders making so many versions for so many minecraft versions. It has to become uniform.
Mojang Minecraft version/Mod Number/Mod Number Version. If all modders were made to follow certain criteria when labeling their versions i don't think there would be so much confussion. But then confussion leads to miss downloads which means more hits Ay!

Latest FTB update was rushed through (IMO), forge had issues and was not a stable recommended release. Optifine only updates for recommend versions of Forge only. So, optifine will not work with the current version of the mod pack. You need to update forge manually to 518 or more for optifine to work correctly.

Even C version will not work correctly with forge 515, pressure plates and the like won't respond correctly, you need to update forge.

Hopefully the next update to the mod pack will update forge and other mods that have bugs in them.
