Mac Optfine wont install?

Hello im new to the forums so hope this is the right place for this but i have been trying to install optfine to the feed the beast "ultimate" pack (v.1.1.2) and it will not load the mod! i put the .zip of optfine 1.4.6 into the "jarmods" folder as well as into the "mods" folder and i can see the optfine and i have the ability to enable and disable it however when I launch ftb optfine isnt installed? what can i do? Thank You for your time

i dont crash i just get such bad frames i need optfine to be able to play

It only belongs in the jar (aka instMods) folder. Also be sure you get the latest version from the minecraftforum.net page. You want either OptiFine 1.4.6_HD_U_D5 or
OptiFine 1.4.6_HD_D5. Click on the older versions spoiler below either the ultra or standard version.

If you are still having problems pleas post your console log to pastebin.com and link it here. Here is a guide to help with that.

First, do this to rule out ANYTHING that could be wrong with your setup:

Then make sure you put it in the correct place as Lav posted.

i have tried all that you suggested and still no luck :( here is my pastebin http://pastebin.com/Msh3GxrZ
Its not a crashing problem tho it just seems that optfine isnt being used by the game? it says its there tho.....
