Hey,

yesterday I tried to install the FTB-Launcher for the first time (I did it like said in one of these instructions, so my FTB-Launcher is in a folder called FTB on the desctop). After starting the launcher I only get the console. I copied the log into pastebin.

could someone pls help me? I tried deinstalling it and JRE but it didnt work.

I hope this hasnt been posted, yet. I looked for it but its hard to find someone with the exact same log.

Both of us have already uninstalled java and reinstalled it. There is something wrong with FTB I'm pretty sure. I can run Vanilla minecraft and Technic just fine

Same here. I've deleted and replaced Java, deleted and redownloaded the launcher, renamed and forced recreation of ftblauncher in %appdata%/Roaming/

Any progress on an answer?

Console Log: http://pastebin.com/XPy9Sbux

OK, edit: It appears to matter which way around the install process is done.
This fixed it for me:
Control Panel - uninstall everything Java.
%appdata%/Roaming - remove everything FTB
Java website, grab latest. Install.
FTB website, grab latest. Install fresh.
Restore saves.

If the penultimate and antipenultimate steps are reversed, it fails. Uninstalled everything and redid it a couple of times to verify. I cannot imagine why that would be the case, but it works.

Your Javas are out of date

1.7 yes, but there is no updates listed. You probably have multiple versions installed. Uninstall all other versions, but update 45 and ensure that you get update 45 from the guide.
I'm having the same problem and I've already uninstalled older versions of java and reinstalled the newest.

I did not ask for that. I asked for yours. If it is the same then follow the guide linked above and uninstall all, but Java 7 update 45. Uninstall even the 64bit versions. Also ensure that you do not have the jdk that you have the jre. I do not know what else I can help you with.

Java version: 1.7.0
Thank you. Okay then I am at a loss for what the cause is. Your log says you are using an older version of Java. Getting rid of all older versions and Java 6 versions and having only version 7 update 45 fixes this error for most users. Please try it one more time. Uninstall all versions of Java including update 45 and if you have to check for the java folders, back them up first, and delete them so that no versions exist at all on your computer. Restart and install just Java 7 update 45 and restart again. Good luck hope you get it fixed.
