Oil Sands in a Centrifuge?

in NEI it says you can make Oil Cells in an industrial centifuge but when i attempt it even in creative mode it isn't considered a valid recipe?

Works fine for me: 2 oil sand + 1 empty cell -> 1 sand + 1 oil cell.

Not on the mindcrack pack for some reason.

I'm using mindcrack v8, so that's not it - seems to be a problem on your end specifically. You have 2 oil sands in the central slot, an empty cell in the upper left slot, and nothing blocking the output slots? Have you made any changes to your copy of the modpack that might affect it (configs changed, or anything like that)?

i have the problem to and i maybe found why it is,

the NEI recipy shows that oil sands had ID 247
But the real block has ID 247:247
if you look for recipy's on the mined block you can only macerate it in to bitomius sluge and nothing else.

i updated my modpack multiple times but still happens,
i dont know if this is a client error or a server error.

It's a weird error people are getting with Traincraft worldgen. It happens with crude oil too. I'm no programmer so I couldn't tell you what's happening, I just know there's a little bug there.

Or maybe Pretolum Generator mod blocked the recipe so it's isn't a cheaper mean of getting oil?

Considering petrol generator mod is the thing that gave the ability to make bc oil from tc oil, it's highly unlikely they removed it for being op, while leaving the recipies in place

you might find the answer two postings below useful

since I find both types of oil sand (247 and 247:247 in my world, I guess that it depends when the chunks were created. it seems that the 247:247 sand was created when I first explored the world and afterwards, there was an update to the version we have now. harvesting the old oilsand gives you useless oilsand. when I find old oilsand, I just replace it via NEI in order to get the new one.

Check Gregtech changelog, as the Centrifuge recipe is his after all...

Might be something in that config. disabling it on default...
