Hello, everyone! To start off, I have run a Bukkit server for years, but recently switched to FTB Infamy.

I was playing on my Infamy server last night (from an offsite location) and while ingame, my ping suddenly jumped from 200ms to 2000ms. I can only join for about fifteen seconds before I get an "end of stream" error. It has been like this since.

Normal pings (through Terminal) respond with around 200ms, and my friends can join with normal connection speeds.

I have restarted my laptop, my modem, my routers, have restarted the server, and have force-updated the modpack.

Has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone know of a possible solution?

EDIT: I am using Minecraft v1.6.4, Infamy v2.0.8, FTB launcher v1.3.4

EDIT #2: I have updated Infamy to v2.1.0, but the problem still exists.

Thanks,

if you have lots of forced chunks loaded with chunk loaders or a ton of entities nearby (pipes spewing items or an out of control mob farm) you may experience these issues. do either of those cases apply to you?

I don't believe so. It occurred all of a sudden while laying some redstone. My friend and I were the only ones on the server, and he was on the other side of the map (at least 500 blocks away).

can you post your console output?
Open the launcher and to the Options tab. Ensure that there are checks in the boxes next to 'Show Console?' and 'Reopen launcher after exiting minecraft?' Then when you get the error if you have to close minecraft the launcher should reopen and allow you to click on the 'Paste my log to pastebin.com' button. This will add a link at the bottom of your console post that link here so we can see your log. Look here for more info about the logs.

I can't post a super recent log, but I have the FTB launcher log and the server log from when it crashed.

Really would have preferred the whole log, but I think it might be the same bouncy castle error that we've seen recently. The 'fix' for this is to delete the libraries folder. The folder is outside the pack's folder and let the launcher redownload it when it starts and loads a 1.6.4 pack. Look here for more info, namely posts 11, 18 and 19.

Edit: If that does not work try this.

Alright. I deleted the libraries folder and force-updated the launcher (as simply deleting the libraries folder gave me an error preventing me from launching the game), and the issue seems to be resolved.

However, I have yet to check it, as my server is currently down, as you may have seen in my other thread. As soon as that issue is resolved, I will test the launcher.
