Oceanblock issues with Singleplayer Lan World

So me and my wife are playing Oceanblock and I am hosting the world and opening it to lan. This all works fine but when she logs in she does not have the starting books that i have. Is this intentional are we supposed to share these?

shouldn't be intentional, but honestly you can access the quest menu from your inv. so i don't think there's an issue with sharing them
