Ocean Everywhere, almost no Land

Hi,

i am running a FTB Unleashed Server and at the Beginning the Map looks great. I imported some schematics from mcedit for the Spawn Area and everything was fine... Now Users say they cant find Land anymore. I cheked and fly around from spawn in every direction at least 10k Blocks and all i could find was Water, Water, Water and some tiny little bits of Land.
Could it be that my Map Generator is broken? Or my Map in general? i also randomyl used /tppos with high values far away from each other but also only water and ocean on the map... but i found a mushroom island in the ocean

That has to deal with seed. Oceans are named Oceans for a reason they are huge.

but can it bee that there is 100k in any direction only ocean? in my opinion this map is broken^^ where should people build? so the only option is to add multiverse and start a new map for building?

There is no way to change the generation without causing shearing on the edges. Before I start any server I find a seed (using a biome map) that I like then make the default seed that.

thanks for the tips guys! found some land which is enough for the time beeing... it was 500k blocks away xD

Be carefull further out you go more resources each block and tile entity takes (and less likely to save)
