I've set up a few farms on my SMP server and generally don't have any issues running them, but I'd like some feed back.
First off, I have a cactus farm running and using all but maybe 3-4 cactus spots, yet it doesn't provide enough power to even power itself, much less provide power to anything else. I'm using a fermenter with water to ferment the cactus into biofuel, and I'll switch to apple juice once I get into tree breeding so I can have apple trees. Is this a none fact and isn't meant to be this way?
Secondly, my main oak farm runs fine 90% of the time, however if I leave my area and come back to it I get an issue where my fermenter runs out of saplings and stops producing biofuel so my biogas engine stops working to power my farm, and the entire thing shuts down. I have two different farms running, where the second one sends all outputs into an ender chest that the first one is sorting. I have all saplings going into my main farm and being divided up using iron tanks, 9 saplings to my fermenter for every 1 to my farm. I produce way more fuel than I use, even when I have all 3 farms running off of the one fermenter, but I'd like production of biofuel to continue even when I'm not near my base or I return randomly. Is the only way to stop this to use a world anchor?
If my descriptions didn't make a lot of sense, you can check out my videos in my channel in the link in my sig.
