Details of the issue up until tuesday it worked fine, I've got a couple different modpacks installed and had been playing regularly.

Now I've tried running as admin, restarting my PC but absolutely nothing happens when I try to open the launcher exe.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java, I tried redownloading the launcher. Nothing

If it matters I'm on Windows 8.1 and I've got 64bit Java 8u111

Hmm maybe they don't do that one now. Have you tried curse?
