LevelUp! By PowerUp217(maintained by GoToLink). I last played with this fully way back in beta 1.8. It's an absolutely amazing RPG mod, I'd LOVE to see a modpack based around it (actually, I might make one myself in the future ;o )

I've never used better dungeons. I've heard its good, but I prefer Rouge like dungeons

I find Roguelike to get boring after the first few sessions.

I like both. Better dungeons makes better worldgen imho, and due to the quantity/type of the loot, it makes an ideal alternative to mining if you want a more interesting way to gather resources. It also adds some fairly cool equipment to play with. Each dungeon is a little different, and you never feel like you're slogging through the same challenges over and over.

Roguelike dungeons aren't as individual or interesting, but they provide a certain relentlessness to the challenge, especially on the lower levels. BetterDungeons has tougher mobs, but their numbers are limited and it's possible to retreat and recover whereas in the lower levels of Roguelike dungeons there is nowhere safe unless you wreck almost all the spawners.

I mean I've seen people use better dungeons but I just don't like the style of them. I prefer Rouge like because of how small they seem to bw compared to better dungeons
